Graham Anderson on the Crimson Council

ASUU's always had something like this that they've always tried to put together, but it's always sort of been an appendage, they've called it a United Leadership Conference, sometimes, even referring to it as the United Leadership Council. The problem with that is that it's been something that happens once a semester, once or twice a year. What happens is you get a bunch of student groups together, we talk about what we're doing, we meet each other, we walk out, and not much correlation or connection actually happens. The point of the Crimson Council is we bring the major student groups within ASUU and make it the focal point of everything that's going on. Instead of us going in there and calling all the shots, we actually use the major student groups and the major student representation on campus as adjunct advisors for what's going on within ASUU and outside ASUU and linking us with all the major student issues going on.
